Rug pad thick: 3' x 5'

Rug pad thick: 3' x 5'

Our rug pads are a punched pad with an embossed rubber, non-slip backing. They're constructed from 100% recycled fibers.

They're compatible with all floor surfaces, including tile, hardwood, laminates, linoleum, concrete, and rug-to-carpet applications.

Thick: 0.375" thick

Why do you want a rug pad?
A rug pad is a great idea for a vintage rug. They keep the rug securely in place on the floor, which reduces wear and tear and extends the life of your investment. It also protects your hard flooring. The rug pad, even the thin type, makes it more cushion-y underfoot, as most of our rugs are very low-pile.

How to choose your size??
We've suggested what we think would probably work best, but you know where it's going and how it needs to feel. Here's how we think of it. Ideally, the thicker pads are good for cozy areas and thicker rugs, while thinner pads are good for high traffic areas and thin rugs - trying to avoid VRL (which is like VPL, but for rugs).

I like my rug pads to be slightly smaller than the rug - with a 2-3" border on all sides. But vintage rugs are irregular sizes, so it just needs to be close. All pads can be bought a little bigger and trimmed down - that's probably the best way to get it "perfect."
